Woman Killed After Her Charging Phone Exploded

 

We are always reminded that we should not leave any gadgets charging before we go to sleep. There are a lot of bad things that can happen on the gadget and for your safety as well. Leaving a phone charging overnight might cause it to overheat and it might explode eventually. Sadly, this warning doesn’t save the life of a 14-year-old schoolgirl after her smartphone exploded.

The UNILAD UK, a company provides "social news" and entertainment, mentioned in their article that Alua Asetkyzy, a 14-year-old schoolgirl who has gone to bed while listening to her favorite music on her smartphone. The schoolgirl was found at her home in Bastobe, Kazakhstan where it is believed that her phone’s battery exploded in the night. 

The authorities also confirmed that the phone was left charging into a power socket when it exploded during the night. Reports said that the body suffered from serious head injuries because of the explosion, and despite the paramedic’s attempt to resuscitate her, Alua died because of these damages.

Investigators also managed to find out that the mobile phone that exploded at midnight because of overheating. The brand of the smartphone and the charger have not yet disclosed, but Alua’s death was said to be a ‘tragic accident’.

Alua’s family and friends said that they cannot believe what happened. Ayazhan Dolasheva said that “You were the best. We have been together since childhood. It is so hard for me without you. I miss you so much. You have left me forever.” Dolasheva said on her social media account.

The 14-year-old’s tragic demise is one of the latest incidents that involved faulty mobile phones and chargers in Russia. In 2016, Samsung had to recall their Galaxy Note 7 after reports of faulty battery erupted, and the model was even banned from different airlines.
