WiFi Allergy: Woman Sleeps In Copper Bags and Avoids Big Towns

70-year-old Rosi Gladwell claims she is sensitive to WiFi, believing the electromagnetic waves emitted from wireless internet makes her feel weak and short of breath, as well as gives her feelings of pins and needles in her face, reports Elisa Menendez of the U.K’s highest-circulating newspaper Metro. Gladwell invests in gadgets such as a £200 ($245) hand-held radiation protector to safeguard herself from electromagnetic waves.

Interestingly, Gladwell can only sleep soundly at night if she wraps herself in a protective sheet and a £400 ($491) sleeping bag woven with silver and copper. She avoids big towns and undergoes a two-day TV detox when her symptoms “get overwhelming.” Apparently, she is concerned with the introduction of 5G because it will kill her. “I’m actually quite frightened about the future,” Gladwell admits. Currently, she makes herself feel safe by living in the countryside “where there are no measured electromagnetic frequencies.”

Six years ago, Gladwell diagnosed herself with electromagnetic fields sensitivity and confessed she felt better within 10 minutes after turning off the WiFi and cordless landline in her house. Since then, the 70-year-old spends time with her husband in their Spanish holiday home in Andalusia. Gladwell even wears the sleeping bag for 30 hours in their ferry trip across the Mediterranean.

In 2016, she campaigned to have WiFi removed from the village of Polopos, Granada, even going as far to speak with the mayor, as stated by Rob Horgan of Olive Press, an English-language newspaper for Spain’s expatriate community. “Back then people would think of you as being weird if you said you suffered from EMF sensitivity, but I don’t think that’s the case now.”

Whenever she goes to a cafe, she brings a meter with her to determine which seats have the least radiation. According to Gladwell, the radiation levels of each seat vary. Gladwell states, “A lot of people now aren’t feeling very well, everyone feels exhausted and stressed out, and some of it is, in my view, down to the extent of radiation.”
