Bungee jumping, an activity involving jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord, is extremely fun but also dangerous. Thus, it is fair that adults are the only ones who can do this activity. However, Redha Rozlan, a 30-year-old “Fear Factor Malaysia” champion, did this with his two-year-old daughter.

Footage has been circulating on the internet, shared via Rentas Adventures Instagram page, showing Rozlan standing on a bridge in Kuala Kuba Bharu with Mecca Mikaela, his daughter, strapped to him. The caption says: “Every girl may not be queen to her husband, but she is always a princess to her father.. A daughter’s first love, a son’s first superhero.” Both of them are shown bungee jumping, which garnered criticism from the viewers.

According to Unilad, a British Internet media company and website owned by LADbible Group, Rozlan insisted that Mikael had wanted to do the dangerous activity and had enjoyed it. He also didn’t force her to bungee jump. “She enjoyed her first jump and requested to do it again, but I was afraid. She was also wearing complete safety harness and gear,” he said. However, people still expressed their horror at the idea that a young kid had participated in such an intense and risky activity.

One of the comments said: “It’s just so brutally irresponsible…” It was also reported that Rozlan and Rentas Adventures could be charged for endangering the toddler’s life.
Goh Siu Lin, a human rights lawyer, stated that Rozlan showed a lack of proper parental judgment. “Rope spring jump is an extreme sport and dangerous, and there is a high likelihood of the motions in such an activity causing physical injury to her. I have never heard of any child of that age being allowed to participate in such extreme sports,” he said.
