Woman Spends Thousands to Triple Lips’ Size to Be More ‘Fashionable’

Many of us want to look and feel good about ourselves. Some undergo plastic surgery to satisfy our longing to become beautiful enough to fit in in society. Andrea Emilova Ivanova, 22, from Sofia, Bulgaria, is one of them.

At a young age, Ivanova wanted fuller lips. Thus, she underwent 15 procedures for lip fillers, making her lips thrice the size of her normal lips. Although she usually receives compliments and even marriage proposals from her Instagram with over 15,000 followers, she also deals with cruel comments. Those comments are directed towards her big lips. “I like my lips now, more than before and I feel very happy with them, because I look prettier with bigger lips, and in Bulgaria, this is the fashion now,” she said.

According to an article by Unilad, a British Internet media company and website owned by LADbible Group, the German Philology student believes that having fillers has made her happier. She has used almost all kinds of lip fillers, including Princess Volume, Princess Filler, Hyaluronic Vital Esthetique, Apriline Forte, Revolax Deep, and Teosyal. Ivanova also visited almost all clinics for aesthetic procedures in Sofia. However, she denied being addicted to fillers and clarified that her look has not been inspired by a certain celebrity.

Ivanova is still planning to enhance her pout further in the future. She is also mostly praised because of her lips, outfits, and even her vision and style every day from people across the world. The negative comments she has received mostly come from fellow women. “There are people who like me with bigger lips and there are people who like me with smaller lips but it doesn’t matter to me, because it’s important for me, how I like it. Other people’s opinion is irrelevant,” she said.

According to an article by the Daily Mail, a British daily middle-market newspaper published in London in a tabloid format, Ivanova believes that people should be free to choose on how their lips’ size should be. “I'm broad-minded and I think people should be free to choose, which one is for them big, bigger or too big. There are no boundaries for me,” she added.
