Company Offers $1,300 to Binge-watch 13 Stephen King Movies

If you're a horror movie junkie and a fan of Stephen King, then you might want to take up this offer of a TV company.

Dish is offering to pay $1,300 to binge-watch 13 Stephen King movies and document their experience. Anyone interested in the gig is free to apply, Business Insider says, adding that they only need to fill out an entry form and explain why they should be chosen for the job in 200 words or less.

The lucky person that will be chosen will have to document their entire experience; their heart rate, jump scares, who joined them while watching, and their general thoughts. Dish will provide a worksheet to ensure that the bases are all covered.

According to the official webpage for the contest, here's what the satellite TV company is looking for:

"The ideal candidate has to be detail-oriented enough to track their experience. They could even share their scares on social media and vlog every time they jump out of their seats. No degree is necessary, nor will a drug test or background check be performed; however, applicants must be 18 years or older and a US citizen or permanent resident to apply."

Among the over 50 Stephen King novel-turned-movies, Dish picked out 13 for the contest;  "Carrie" (original or remake), "Children of the Corn," "Christine," "Creepshow," "Cujo," "Dreamcatcher," "IT" (original or remake), "The Mist," " Pet Sematary" (original or remake), "Salem's Lot," "The Shining," "Thinner," and "Misery."

The company will also provide the lucky (or unlucky) winner with access to all 13 movies to make things easier and more convenient, Business Insider says.

Aside from the monetary prize, Dish will also give the winner a flashlight, blanket, popcorn, candy, and some Stephen King merchandise. It will also give a Fitbit to track the chosen individual's heart rate as they watch, as well as a movie theater gift card.
