Faceless and Headless Dolls Show Up All Over Missouri Town

It’s not even Halloween month yet but citizens in a small Missouri town have already been spooked after faceless and headless dolls started showing up around the community. According to an article published by People, a website that provides news about celebrity and human-interest stories, these life-size dolls have suddenly appeared on the side of the roads and in random places, which make it more frightening.

The stuffed, faceless dolls can also be found behind dumpsters and leaning on streetlight poles. “Somebody thinks it’s funny, some people think it’s cute, it’s all fun and games until somebody stops, thinking it’s a child in distress and gets hit trying to help out,” Festus Chief of Police Tim Lewis stated.

The article further stated that the hands of these dolls were sown to the head, where there’s no face. If a person looks at them from behind, the dolls look like a little girl crying, which will draw attention from concerned citizens. A lot of people in the town are kind-hearted and they will expectedly rush to help the “girl.”

Police Chief Lewis said that it might be fun at first, but it could lead to a very dangerous situation. There might be a chance that it can cause an accident and it might hurt people. But, accidents aside, the dolls are terrifying.

“At first, I didn’t realize it was a doll,” one local resident shared in an interview. The resident also mentioned that when she first saw the doll, it looked like it was crying so he went nearer to see if it needed help.

Reports say that authorities in the said town believe that the freaky dolls are the work of a prankster in the area. They also assured the public that they will continue to investigate and try to find out the perpetrator.
