Funeral Procession Goes Through Man's Favorite Fast Food Drive-Thru

Funeral processions are filled with grief and a lot of people crying around it. It doesn’t matter which country or culture you come from, these events are always a glum affair that no one wants to experience. However, LAD Bible, a social media and entertainment social publisher, reported in its article that there was one particular funeral procession in the United Kingdom that steered away from the conventionally sad procession.

According to the reports, a funeral procession for a teenager named Joshua was arranged to go through his beloved McDonald’s drive-thru. The funeral procession was parked up in the Maccies car park in order to allow his relatives and friends to release balloons in the air.

The funeral-goers also returned to the said fast-food chain after the ceremony for the wake. The quirky and personalized funerals are becoming a popular thing in the United Kingdom, based on a survey conducted by Co-op Funeral Care. The study also added that most funeral processions are usually held at zoos, golf courses, and even cafes.

Additionally, the study noted that one in 10 adults chooses traditional and religious funeral services in the present. 36 percent of the sample subjects prefer to have their friends and relatives have a celebration of their life, and only a third of these adults don't want to arrange any events during their funeral.

This is based on insight from a Co-op funeral director from more than 500,000 funerals which were conducted in the last five years. Aside from that, the survey also noted that two-fifths of the people asked believed that funerals will become less formal in the future. People are also getting more creative when it comes to the things they want to do with the remains of their loved one’s ashes.
