Forget about the Area 51 trend, a massive barbecue party from Australia is making a noise on the Internet. Unilad UK, an internet media company and website that publishes social news and entertainment, reported that a vegan woman has taken her neighbors to court after she claimed that they are intentionally wafting the smell of meat into her yard.
Cilla Carden, a massage therapist from Girrawheen, stated that her not-so-friendly neighbors are intentionally cooking meat, smoking a cigarette, and playing basketball in order to disturb her. She also reported that she and her neighbors had been in a rough situation since last year. and Carden only took the matter to the Supreme Court recently after having enough of the ruckus.
Her action also demands her neighbors to control the weeds in their garden and refurbish the fences that they are sharing between their properties. She also insists that these actions made by his neighbors are intentional, “They’ve put it there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish. I can’t enjoy my backyard, I can’t go out there. It’s been devastating, it’s been turmoil, it’s been unrest, I haven’t been able to sleep.” Carden said in an interview with 9News.
Unfortunately, the Supreme Court dismissed her case, as the State Administrative Tribunal sided with her neighbors. The tribunal ruled that Carden’s neighbors had the right to have a BBQ on their backyards because after all, it is their property. On the other hand, one of Carden’s neighbors, Toan Vu, and his family decided to move their barbecue party and asked their children from playing basketball. Despite this action, Carden remained unsatisfied.
There are also reports that the Australian woman also has a problem with the neighbors on the other side of her house too. She insisted that these neighbors were shining floodlights into the common areas of her house. Carden also requested that they have to repair and repaint the fences of their backyard.
